Top Notes
Sicilian Orange — fresh, juicy, slightly sweet citrus.
Calabrian Bergamot — bright, slightly bitter citrus edge; gives a sparkling quality.
Sicilian Lemon — more zesty and tart, adding to the citrus burst.
Heart (Middle) Notes
Fruits — a generic fruity accord (“Mediterranean fruits,” according to some) that gives a juicy, sweet, sun-ripened vibe.
Base Notes
White Musk — soft, clean musky undertone that gives the scent a smooth, slightly powdery feel.
Madagascar Vanilla — creamy, sweet, warm; balances the fruit and citrus with a soft gourmand touch.
Amber — the rich, warm, balsamic anchor of the fragrance.
The amber in Oud Imperial is not a sharp, heavy “old-school” amber (resinous, smoky) — rather, it is soft, warm, and slightly sweet. In this composition, it supports and enhances the lighter, brighter notes (citrus + fruit), rather than dominating them.
Because it’s paired with vanilla, the amber reads more creamy and cozy, giving the dry-down a gourmand but elegant feel.
The white musk helps to cushion the amber, so it doesn’t feel resinous or heavy; instead, it gives a smooth, silky, clean finish.
According to user reviews and expert fragrance sites, the amber contributes to very good longevity and projection.
As the fragrance evolves, the fruity/citrus top gradually gives way to that warm, enveloping amber-vanilla-musk base — making the scent feel very luxurious, warm, and comforting in the dry-down.
Role: Foundation – base, giving weight and depth.
Effect on Scent: Balances the high-energy citrus and fruit with a soft, warm, sensual finish.
Personality: Elegant, cozy, inviting — not too “amber resin-heavy,” more “amber-vanilla glow.”
Wearability: Works very well in multiple seasons, especially in spring/summer (because of the citrus) and even in cooler evenings (because of the amber-vanilla base).
